Thanks for coming out to my birthday celebration even though it was 22 degrees outside.

Spontaneous Snowy Portraits

First real snow that I've seen in Texas... and even though it was 2:30 AM, everyone was outside experiencing a temporary winter wonderland.

Ended up taking pictures of random people in the end, haha.

GF1 as a 5D replacement for portraits?

The Leica 50mm Summicron is effectively a 100mm f/2 lens, so one would think it would be great for portraits right? 

Since I only only take portraits with natural light, indoor portraits are kind of a touchy subject with this camera. I think I can pull a lot more detail using the 5D if I have to use any ISO above 200. But in daylight the GF1 is perfectly usable.
